This role will provide ongoing technical support to Price Management group. The primary objective is to work with internal customers to sustain, enhance and develop the Price Measurement Systems and Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain existing MS Access models
- Develop and support new SQL data-mart databases
- Develop and support COGNOS BI reporting model
- Provide technical support to the Price Management Group
- Lead or assist various process improvement projects
- SAP conversion (a possibility for one year from now)
Qualifications:
- 3 to 6 years development experience in VB applications with demonstrated experience working with SQL, SQL Server, VBA programming and MS Access
- 1 to 3 years experience using COGNOS ad SQL Server or similar Business Intelligence tool is an asset
- SAP/Previous ERP experience an asset
- The candidate must have experience work with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience writing technical support documentation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Self - Starter with ability to work in a team environment

SUMMARY:
Primary responsibilities include to liaison closely between Customer Service, Sales Planning, Logistics and each of the manufacturing facilities to ensure that plant capacities are optimized to meet our customers desired service levels and order fulfillment
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Plant Operations
* Develop close two-way communication with raw material and dry goods purchasing and plant production scheduling within all facilities
* Working closely with each Plant Manager and Production Scheduler, adjust line production plans to ensure sales orders can be met
* Coordinate production plans between all plants to achieve the following;
* Maximize equipment efficiency and capacity utilization
* Maximize labour productivity
* Minimize freight and storage/handling costs
* Minimize material purchase prices
* Identify capital investment needs/opportunities that ensure profitable fulfillment of demand from Customers
Customer Service
* Close communication with Sales Planning and Customer Service Supervisor to ensure short shipments are eliminated, delivery schedules are met and order fill rates exceed 98%
* Converting sales budgets, forecasts and plans into Operating/Plant plans; ensuring the Company has the correct skills, capabilities and resources available to supply products consistent with the sales demands
Logistics and Inventory
* Communication with Corporate and Plant logistics/shipping regarding delivery planning and execution of orders to ensure optimal combination of source and delivery points for each SKU for each customer to reduce costs and increase service
* Set appropriate inventory levels on supplies and finished goods while taking accountability for optimizing costs and achievement of customer service targets.
